Before we left

What an adventure - perhaps the craziest part of the whole trip was the day before the packers came. That's when we found out it could be a month before our household effects arrive. And that hotel stays just aren't done. It involved a mad rush to pack the bare essentials: bedding, towels, kitchen stuff, enough clothes, Hallowe'en colstumes for the kids. Then we had to find a way to get it on the plane, etc. I'm actually getting stressed just thinking about it!

On the good side, we had time to do a few "last visits." Not as many as we would have liked, but there is never enough time.
